On march 19th I was given the opportunity to observe Mrs. Sweats 4th grade math class. Observing at the middle school has been a very positive experience for me. everyone has been very kind and respectful.
One highlight that I have is how much Mrs. Sweat loves her job. I can tell that she loves teaching and helping her students. she treats everyone equally and gives everyone an opportunity to understand and learn.
Another highlight that I have is the students are very respectful to Mrs. Sweat. The students listen very well and always ask questions they do not understand. For a fourth class I think they are doing very well and they are learning in a well structured class that will prepare them for the future classes.
I would definitely use the way that she teaches, and holds her students accountable. she teaches in a way that makes the students listen and stay engaged at all times. I want to be a teacher that the students will listen to and stay engaged with me through the whole class.
Overall, the two weeks that I have been in this class has been a very great time for me. Observing the middle school had definitely been something. but it has been a good experience for me to learn what grades I do and do not like.
